Day 1:

Arrival at Buenos Aires airport and transfer to the
domestic airport, flight to Bariloche in Northwestern
Patagonia. Overnight at a cozy hostel in Llao Llao. Three hour
excursion around "Short Circuit" in the beautiful lake
district of Nahuel Huapí.
Day 2:
Short crossing and then hike to a typical Estancia
(farm-ranch) over the Patagonian steppe, where we are welcomed
with a
delicious Lamb Asado. Today we shall experience the
impressive difference between the landscapes west and east of
Bariloche, separated only by a few kilometers. With some
luck we can see the condors circle above our heads over the
bizarre rock formations. Same overnight stay as previous day.
Day 3:
Crossing to Steffen Lake, where we begin our 7-day
tour over the Andes to Chile. Rafting along the emerald green
Manso River (Grade II-III). Lunch and dinner in the midst of
an almost virgin landscape. The next six nights are spent
at the camping site.
Day 4:
After breakfast we mount our horses and ride along a
shoreside track in the direction of Chile. Wonderful views
of mountains and waterfalls await us on the way.
Day 5:

The excursion continues on rafting kayaks (duckys),
where we'll see carp swim around us in the crystal clear waters.
Shortly after the border crossing we set up camp on the river
and enjoy a Lamb Asado.
Day 6:
Inhabitants of this remote area will lend us their horses.
Descent on horseback in the midst of the luxurious and damp
wilderness, which shall leave a deep impression on us.
Day 7:
We continue on foot, descending toward the valley.
Day 8:

After a hearty breakfast, we do some hiking and in the early
afternoon we lower our boats back into the Manso.
Day 9:
Rafting along the Manso and later along the Río Puelo
until we reach Tagua- Tagua Lake. Here, our boats and
equipment are loaded onto a ferry and crossed over to the other
side of the lake. There we let the Río Puelo drift us down to
the Pacific. We take a regular service bus to
Puerto Varas on the Llanquíhue Lake with the breathtaking
Osorno Volcano directly in front of us. Overnight stay in small
inn.
Day 10:
A visit to the very picturesque Angelmó Fish Market in
Puerto Montt, where we will also find a great variety of
handmade rugs and other such wares.

an inn.

Aires, transfer to the hotel and overnight.
